This is a list of the small groups I offer during the school year:
Social media skills: help students safely navigate the social mediascape by fostering awareness and accountability. The group will address the following topics: Media Balance & Well-being, Privacy & Security, Digital Footprint & Identity, Relationships & Communication, Cyberbullying, Digital Drama & Hate Speech, and News Media Literacy.
Changing Families: help students develop a system of managing living in multiple households, explore emotions of loss and changing family dynamics, and develop communication strategies to use with their parents.
Grief: educates students about normal and complicated grief responses, and to reinforce and support the uniqueness of each student's physical, emotional and spiritual grief process, and to minimize student isolation to find strength and grow from the experience.
Friendship: a fun group to teach students how to interact appropriately with their peers (social skills) and learn conversational, friendship, and problem-solving skills.
Anxiety / Coping Skills: help students with specific anxiety issues and help build resiliency to stress.
Executive Skills: provide students will skills to effectively set goals, organize materials, and prioritize tasks (time management).
