Our purpse with fines is not to collect every penny but to help students follow the policy and be responsible members of our school community. Often, other students are waiting for books to be returned so they can read them. Fines help create a sense of urgency so students remember to return or renew the book in a timely manner.
Alternate Ways to Cover Your Fine
We'll waive $.25 for every 15 minutes of reading you do! Talk to a librarian and pick up an official bookmark.
Write a one-paragraph book review for up to $1.00 off of your fine! Contact your librarian or find details below.
We have a basket of hygiene items in the library available for any student who needs it. We can always use donations to keep it stocked! We accept travel sizes! We'll forgive up to $1.00 for every item donated.
Throughout the year, we'll coordinate fine forgiveness opportunities with school-wide activities and promotions. Watch your school announcements and notices for details!
