My name is Judy Baird and I get to teach 5th grade in this beautiful school.
Now, a little about me, I was raised in Orem, Utah where I attended Mt. View High School. I live in Riverton with my husband Dwayne, who is a retired Salt Lake City police officer. Together we have 9 children and 24 grandchildren. We love being grandparents!
Our summers are spent traveling in our motorhome, riding motorcycles , bicycles and anything family. This summer Dwayne and I spent 12 days in Africa on a safri, it was life changing. We try to do a little yard work here and there as well, most of this summer was spent trying desperately to keep our lawn alive, anyone feel our pain on that? I work with an organization in New York, Project ALS, to raise awareness about the disease. I know the difficulty of the disease, as I have lost a daughter to ALS. It has been a wonderful experience and I have met so many amazing people along the way.
I attended Dixie State and UVU and have a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, and am currently working on a masters degree. This year I begin my 17th year of teaching. Five of those years were spent in Kindergarten and the rest in fifth grade. I absolutely love teaching the curriculum and working with this age group.
I am looking forward the meeting new families, staff and students.
