FEELING Isolated
SOCIAL DISTANCING IS HARD BUT NECESSARY!
In times when we are being asked to stay home, we find ourselves and our families struggling for the natural desire to socially interact. As humans, we thrive on social interaction! So what can we do in these times of quarantine to keep our minds balanced?
Chat with others virtually!!
if you have access to the internet, phone, computer, tablet, or other smart devices then you can chat!!
use traditional phone calls, facetime, googlehangout, zoom, skype. These are just a few examples.
Stay social even during social distancing! Read below for some ways to stay social during social distancing!
Virtual Parties for milestones
sing happy birthday, open presents, or congratulate a graduate
Get your body moving with friends virtually
exercise with friends to stay healthy and accountable
go on walks, hikes, bike rides while connecting virtually with friends
Ding Dong Ditch
provide meals/games for neighbors but remember to ditch (at least 6 feet)
Meet with your organized group
Play dates, Game groups, music groups, youth groups can all still meet virtually, we just need to be creative
Write a letter
to someone who doesn't live in your house
Do a family activity
craft, dance, sing, read, or watch tv
Go on a car ride
