Our Curriculum

Intro to Dance

Wednesdays 3:30-4:30 pm

This class is geared towards 3rd and 4th grade students, introducing the concepts of ballroom dance with minimal partnering.

It’s a non-competitive class, but students would still perform in our Christmas concert and our year-end concert. Students would learn line dances, basic ballroom technique, creative movement and study dance history.

DRESS CODE

The dance dress code follows Meadow's dress code. Students can wear regular school clothes. But please make sure it allows them to move easily. If girls wear dresses, please wear tights or shorts underneath to preserve modesty.

SHOES

BOYS - black dress shoes that are flexible and allow easy movement.

GIRLS - dress shoes that are flexible, with a secure strap across the foot or ankle, either flat or with a block heel no higher than 1.5 inches. (Girls' shoes may be any color but black, white or nude in color are preferred.)

If you are interested in purchasing dance shoes, the teachers can recommend some inexpensive options.
