8th grade summer school

If you are a current 8th grader who failed required Jr. High credits this year, you may be eligible to attend LJHS Summer School. Your Admin/Counselor will be able to assist you with signing up in May.
8th graders who participate in LJHS Summer School are opting in to remediate missed core gaps, so they are prepared for their 9th grade year, earning high school credits. 8th graders who participate in LJHS Summer School will not receive a grade change.
8th graders who are off track with their Jr. High credits will not receive a Middle School Completion Certificate in May. 7th & 8th graders who do not pass required Jr. High credits per Term will not be held back.

If you are a current 9th grader who failed required 9th grade credits this year, you may be eligible to attend LJHS Summer School. You should have received a Summer School Invite email from one of our Principals with instructions on how to sign up in May. Please contact the Front Office for more questions so our Principals can assist you.
