Students will receive 3 blocks daily.
•If a student keeps all 3 blocks throughout the day they will receive a smiley face on their behavior calendar for the day.
•If a student keeps 2 blocks during the day, when the block is removed- they will have a stop & think. 2 blocks will earn a straight face on the students behavior contract.
•If the student keeps 1 block throughout the day, a parent will be contacted. This will result in a sad face on the students behavior calendar.
I will mark students planner at the end of each day with their corresponding face for the number of blocks. They are to bring this home and show parents & get it initialed. Once a students has 5 smiley faces with initials in their box with them, they will receive a reward. See the page linked for more details about how the behavior planner works.
Students will earn “caught ya” tickets for the Friday drawing when I catch them doing something great!
Kerplunk (the game) will be used when students receive a compliment from someone other than Miss Johnson throughout the school. We will work toward a class decided reward, once we complete the game.
Students will have the opportunity to watch for other students doing great things around the classroom to pass an award to.
