BASIC LIBRARY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Every class will have a scheduled library day each week. Sometimes things will get missed for special days, testing and so forth but we're also open after school to help accommodate kids who need to exchange books before their scheduled day.
Students are expected to participate, follow rules, and be respectful to any adults (Mrs. Pruhs, aides, substitutes) during their library time.
Kinder gets 1 book that stays in their classroom.
1st grade gets 1 book they can bring home. (The first few times they check out they'll keep them in the classroom, books will begin to go home later in the fall.)
2-6th grade gets 2 books.
DLI 3-6th can take up to 3 books but one of them must be a Spanish book.
Books are expected to be returned weekly and in good repair. Books that are lost, or damaged beyond repair will be expected to be paid for so we can make keep our library functioning. (Water bottles and books do not mix and we lose MANY books each year to water damage!)
