Welcome to 5th grade!
This is Me... My name is Colleen Guerrero. This is my 20th year teaching. I have taught 2nd and 3rd grades, a split 2nd/3rd, and 8 years of the English side of DLI-Chinese and now I am tackling the adventure of 5th grade!
I grew up in Southern California, where I got my B.A. (UC-Riverside) then I moved to Utah 15 years ago. I have a Master of Ed. from SUU and have completed my Instructional Coaching, Educational Technology, and Math Endorsements. I live in Eagle Mountain with my husband and two kids. My husband is also a teacher at Brighton High School in Cottonwood Heights, so we are a family of educators and lifelong learners. My kids can speak Chinese and are in 8th and 10th grades. I like to think I know how teaching runs from the parent and the teacher sides of things, since I have my own kids going through ASD. So, if you have any questions, please ask…if I don’t know the answers, I will find out. I love running into families around town. You can often find me walking around neighborhoods, shopping at Smith's and Costco, and taking my kids to baseball and tennis. I am excited to work with your child this year and help them learn!
