In 2nd grade we are Mathletes! We strive to become the best we can be at math fact fluency!!!
One way we do that is by passing off addition & subtraction strategies that help us become faster at solving facts under 20. Some strategies are straight memorization such as partners of 10 and Doubles. Other strategies use mental math to help us use what we already know to quickly solve math facts in our heads!
As we pass off strategies we earn buttons that we pin onto a lanyard. When we have passed off all our strategies and earned every button we earn our gold medal!!!!
The document linked in the yellow button above will explain each strategy and help you & your child know how to best study for success! It will also show you the order that is best to complete the strategies.
