We spend 1/3 of the school year coding in the computer lab. We spend the other 2/3 doing typing and online safety. For coding, we use Scratch which is a coding language designed for kids to teach them computational thinking. Students also get exposure to other coding languages such as Python and Javascript. Ask your students what they've been coding in the lab recently!

• Kindergarten-2nd grades use Scratch Jr. 

• 3rd-6th grades use the normal Scratch. Student accounts are private and protected. Alpine School District used the CodeHS platform to access Scratch.
