You should be able to use evidence to document the development and evolution of the American political parties, and explain the historic and current roles of political parties
You should be able to identify the conditions that gave rise to social and political reform movements, such as: Jacksonian Democracy, the women's movement, the abolition of slaves, the temperance movement, and prison and asylum reform
POLITICAL PARTIES IN THE UNITED STATES
Today, there are two major political parties in The United States: the Democrats and the Republicans. While these parties have been around for quite awhile, there have been other political parties in our nation's history.
