We are excited to be back in the library! Here is some info so you can help us keep our library collection in good condition, and your child enjoy using the library this year!
Checking out library books
Learning library skills
Stories and lessons
Book Talks
Book Fairs (during PTCs)
GLOW Parties (end of year)
And more . . . !
We love involved parents! Please follow the library book guidelines, hold yourself and children responsible for the books in your care, and you can click here to volunteer.
We have 2 forms of automated notifications:
Monthly: On the first of the month, you get notifications if your student’s books are overdue by 14 days, or your child has fines due to lost or damaged books. (Books are marked as lost after 60 days)
Weekly: You may opt in to be emailed which books your child has each week.

Please Care for Our Books:
Travel with books in a backpack.
Find a safe place to keep library books at home for the year.
Keep books away from all pets and very young siblings.
Read with clean hands and turn the pages from the top right hand corner of each page.
Do not eat or drink while reading library books!
Do not place library books ANYWHERE in the kitchen or bathroom.
Load books into backpacks the night before library day. PLEASE AVOID PUTTING BOOKS AND WATER BOTTLES TOGETHER IN BACKPACKS.
Return library books on time. Books are due each week.
There are no fines for overdue books. Students are responsible for damaged or lost books and will have to pay to replace them before checking out another book.
Concerns with this? Please e-mail/talk to either myself or the finance secretary so we can resolve it. We prefer books returned to lost fines paid.
If something does happen to a book, like a torn page, please do not repair it yourself. Return the book with a note, or email me to make arrangements to solve the problem.
There will be occassional rescheduling, but the first week we'll send home a paper informing you of
"their library day."
Backpack pins for library days are available upon request.
These Library Rules are meant to make the library a happy and comfortable place to be,
for us and our books.
