Students do not receive weekly homework packets. However, students should read for 20 minutes, five days a week. This should be recorded on their reading log that is due at the end of each month. Additionally, students that do not finish assignments in class should work on them at home. If you would like your child to do extra math or reading practice, they may use the program iReady. iReady can be accessed at home through the school portal Clever.
If your student is going to be absent, please inform your classroom teacher and contact the office to excuse the absence.
Students that are absent can access some class assignments on Google Classroom to stay partially caught up. This will not make up for all of the learning opportunities missed. However, it will be a tremendous help.
Check out our resources page! If you still can't find what you're looking for, please send your teacher a message!
We need lots of help throughout the year! We need volunteers for field trips, class parties, etc. If you signed up as a volunteer during our Back to School night, your teacher's room parent should reach out when your help is needed. However, as more help is needed, your child's classroom teacher may reach out for other additional events. If you want to attend a field trip but need to know ahead of time please check out our calendar.
You do not need a background check to volunteer in the classroom. However, a background check is required to be a chaperone on a field trip. You can schedule a background check through the district's website. Background checks can take several weeks to process, so it is best to do this early on. If you have already gotten a background check through the district, you do not need to get another one.Â
