Using Adobe Express
LMS & UMS
In this unit, students looked at various technological advancements . They then selected one in the past, or predicted a future advancement to create a newspaper and newscast about. The topics varied from the first ever phone, to future biotechnology to extend the average life span! Using Adobe Express, students created a digital newspaper. Then, using the green screen room they created a newscast. Students learned how to layer audio, video, and image/text elements.
Students looked at the animation process involved in game design! Using Bloxels, students were introduced to design thinking and video game design. Students created characters and built a game that could be played by a peer.
During this trimester students spent a lot of time exploring Adobe Express! They started the trimester by creating an 'About Me' page to share, as well as practiced their interviewing skills to interview a peer. We spent time exploring generative AI features that aided students in adding photos to their projects.
"I learned how to successfully navigate Adobe Express, by making AI generated images, Videos and sheets about me, and making moving words/sentences. I can use those skills to transfer those into websites in school and my future career."
"I think that learning how to write a newspaper was the most helpful because it can help me later write bigger and better things. My favorite project was the newscast project because it was a fun collaborative project. "
"I learned how to use Adobe Express. I learned how to use video-editing techniques and how to combine photos with text. This could be helpful for creating digital media or works of art."
"Something I enjoyed was generating AI images on Adobe Express, and being creative about it. Also, Bloxels was fun because we got to create our own game."
"I learned how to use Adobe Express to create multiple types of media such as video, images, and documents. I think this is helpful because being able to create these types of media will help me in the future."
