Edited by Julia Palmer
This week May 8 and 10, the high school drama class will be performing “The Great Gatsby.” The shows will be at 7:00 p.m. on May 8 and 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The shows will be in the high school auditorium.
“The Great Gatsby” is a play based on the book “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The book is told from the point of view of Nick Carraway, who moves to New York in the 1920s. He now lives next to Jay Gatsby, a mysterious man who throws extravagant parties. Gatsby is chasing his lost love, Daisy, who is Nick’s cousin, and married to a man named Tom Buchanan. The book, and play, follows the group through trials, discoveries, and more.
We hope you can come down to see the play, and go Panthers!
