The heart behind Alma Early Education, Ms. Christin
I started Alma because I believe early education should do more than fill time—it should shape confident, capable, and curious little humans. With over 10 years of experience in early childhood education, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a teacher, program director, and operations leader—designing curriculum, coaching educators, and supporting families along the way. I hold a B.A. in Sociology from Cal Poly Pomona and specialized training in Early Childhood Development, allowing me to blend research-based learning with a warm, nurturing approach that feels like home.
What families love about Alma
💚Preschool with purpose: We pair phonics and number sense with social-emotional learning and practical life skills (think: following routines, helping, communicating feelings).
💚Hands-on, low-pressure learning: Songs, crafts, movement, and themed play—grounded in Jolly Phonics and real academic objectives.
💚Bilingual connection: English + Spanish for inclusive, everyday communication.
💚Licensed, trustworthy care: Small group ratios in a safe, home-based environment (LIC #364846388).
💚Accessible pricing: We accept tuition assistance from CCRC, CalWORKs, and Pomona Unified.
Our learning rhythm
We use monthly themes (e.g., kindness, garden life cycles, cultures & traditions) to weave science, cooking, independence, and feelings into everyday routines. Kids don’t just learn letters—they practice being helpful friends and capable little humans.
Why this matters
Children thrive when classrooms are consistent, loving, and intentional. At Alma, your child is seen, celebrated, and gently challenged. We partner closely with parents and keep communication clear and kind.
