The COVID-19 pandemic has created a highly fluid and unprecedented situation across the globe. Responses from Governments vary, as each work to protect their citizens.
All Hands and Hearts paused operations on March 13th, 2020. This action was taken to safeguard the communities we serve and those acting on behalf of the organization. We must adhere to these same safeguarding principles as we plan our return.
Starting in mid-March 2020, in response to the overwhelming need for personal protective equipment due to COVID-19 related shortages, All Hands and Hearts donated our entire sizable stock of N95 masks, hand sanitizers, safety goggles, nitrile gloves and TyChem suits to hospitals and health care centers around the United States. As a testament to our experience working in complex disaster environments, we were able to leverage our existing supply chain partners to seamlessly and effectively distribute standardized PPE shipments from our warehouse in Massachusetts to 8 different hospitals. These hospitals included UCLA Medical Center in CA, St. Luke's Hospital in MA, Boston Medical Center, Rochester Medical Center in NY, South Shore Hospital in MA, Mayo Clinic - Eau Clare in WI, Valley Hospital in NV, UMass Memorial HealthAlliance-Clinton in MA and a number of community groups.
