The following sessions are all scheduled:

We hope to open our shed for more extended opening times during 2025, and expect that we will have the following opening times:

• • Monday 10:00am - 1:00pm

  • Saturday 12:30pm - 4:30pm

Previous events

We have already undertaken visits to a number of local Men's Sheds which are currently up and running, along with other interesting visits. These give us ideas for our own shed, build relationships and provide opportunity for social activity. This, along with the current raft of sessions to prepare our very own Shed!

• Weekly meetings in the shed, preparing the room, building benches, installing a partitian wall, electrical connections, etc

• 16/9/24 Steps flooring finished, first benches in place, handrail installed

• 9/9/24 Spare tools offered to members in exchange for a small donation to the Shed

• 2/9/24 Continuing with our setup

• 26/8/24 Starting to record assets

• 19/8/24 Preparing the room

• 29/7/24 Starting to sort the tools

• 22/7/24 Floor painting complete!

• 1/7/24 Third working party, The Shed/crypt, St Peter's Church , Allerton

  • Continuation of the preparation of the Shed by painting the walls (first coat) - which we'll continue on the next session.

• 17/6/24 Second working party, The Shed/crypt, St Peter's Church , Allerton

  • Continuation of the preparation of the Shed, preparing the walls and just about starting the painting - which we'll continue on the next session.

• 10/6/24 First working party, The Shed/crypt, St Peter's Church , Allerton

  • Initial get together of the members who are forming the woprking party to get the Shed into a state that it can be used. We focussed on scraping the old underlay and glue from the floor. Whilst not entirely sucessful we have made a start and are trying to work-out how to overcome the remaining glue!

• 3/6/24 Initial Open meeting, St Peter's Church Hall, Allerton

  • The initial open meeting was very well attended with 21 people in total, and 14 people applying for membership on the day - Thank you to all the people who contributed to such a well attended and enthusiastic event!

We have also helped out at the local charity organisation at Cafe West where we helped with their cycle building project.
