Join in school activities that interest you. The best way to make a friend is to be kind.
Middle school is a time when all students are coming together for the first time after being in elementary school. Sometimes, you will not all get along or like one another until you get to know each other. There are times when students can be mean to one another, and that may happen. If someone is making you feel uncomfortable or is being mean, report it to an adult.
Tell an adult at school and an adult at home. We will work together to address the issue.
If you are having problems with another student, reach out to an adult to let them know about the problem so that we can help avoid getting into fights. Try to solve the problem when it is small. But if a fight does occur, the administrators work with students to resolve the issue. There are sometimes consequences involved like in school suspensions.
If anyone bothers you, just make sure to tell an adult!
Your teachers, safety officers, counselors, administrators, main office secretaries or any other adult within the school. They are all there to help and support you. Even the cafeteria workers!
