The Texas State Board of Education has adopted curriculum standards which outline what students are to learn in each grade level or course. These statewide curriculum standards are available for review on the Academics webpage of the Texas Education Agency website.
The Allen Independent School District uses Instructional Plans to support classroom instruction and student learning aligned to the curriculum standards. Allen ISD’s Instructional Plans provide module or unit names, the curriculum standards taught within each module or unit, and the number of instructional days per module or unit. Allen ISD’s Instructional Plans are accessible below for each grade level and course.
For more information regarding the Instructional Plans in your student’s grade level or course, please contact the classroom teacher.

Students receiving special education services receive instruction aligned to the grade-level Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Access to the curriculum is supported through accommodations and modifications as outlined in each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). For students requiring modifications or alternate curriculum, instruction is delivered through prerequisite skills that are aligned to grade-level TEKS.
