All new students will receive their Student ID from the Enrollment Center (at the main entrance).
Allen High School students must wear their Student ID on a lanyard around their neck at all times.
If a student misplaces their Student ID, they may purchase a new ID for $5.00 at the Enrollment Office (located at the Main Entrance) or at the PAC reception desk.
Allen High School Hours of Operation:
8:00am - Main Entrance/PAC Commons/Shuttle Bus doors open and students may go to the cafeteria until the bell rings at 8:30am.
8:30am - Students may enter the Academic hallways.
In the morning, students may enter the school through:
-Main entrance doors
-Shuttle bus drop-off doors
-PAC entrance doors
Due to traffic at our campuses, we recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before your 1st class each day.
Based on this Bell Schedule (with A & B days), which classes will you attend on "A" day? And which classes will you attend on "B" day?
What time will you arrive to school on "A" days? And what time will you arrive on "B" days? (plan ahead for traffic)

-If you have classes at our STEAM Center or dual credit classes at our Collin College Technical Center, we offer shuttle busses or you may provide your own transportation. Shuttle Bus schedule
-If you will be driving your own car to Allen HS, STEAM Center or our Collin College Technical Center (dual-credit classes), you will need to purchase an AHS Parking Pass.
Allen High School is designed to be student-centered and has systems of support in place to ensure that ALL students are successful.
At Allen HS, privileges are opportunities outside of the academic setting based on maintaining behavioral and academic expectations.
How are privileges earned?
Academic Success
-Master the academic standards in your classes
-Maintain passing grades in ALL classes.
-Give your BEST efforts the FIRST TIME in class everyday. Turn in assignments ON TIME.
-Ask for help! Attend tutorials in Tutoring Center in upper library or with individual teacher!
Responsible behavior!
-Be on time to school and all classes.
-Be ready to learn.
-Be respectful.
-Be responsible.
*Failure to meet behavior expectations will result in a loss of your privilege period & trust card.
WHEN are privilege periods?
1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th
**3rd & 6th are NOT privilege periods due to lunch and required state attendance
PRIVILEGE LOCATIONS
Cafeteria: study independently or with a group, socialize with friends, eat a snack
Library: check out a laptop; use computers, study independently or with small group, reserve a Huddle-Room for group projects, read books
Upstairs Library: Tutoring center with AHS Teachers
PAC Commons: study independently or with a group, socialize with friends, shop at Eagle Edge Store
Testing Center: makeup or retake tests (online reservation required)
Do I have to be on campus during my privilege period?
1st privilege period You have a CHOICE. You can come to school for tutorials or hang out in a privilege location, OR you can stay home during your privilege period and arrive at 9:45am for classes.
2nd/4th/5th/7th privilege periods YES! You need to be ON campus at AHS or the STEAM Center.
8th privilege period You have a CHOICE. You can stay at school for tutorials, hang out in a privilege location, OR you can go home during your privilege period.
**Bus transportation is NOT available until 4:10pm.**
What is a Trust Card?
-a separate ID Badge labeled “TRUST CARD”
-worn on student lanyard with Student ID
-required to access privilege areas and Student Section at athletic events
-can be revoked by House Principal for irresponsible behavior
Allen ISD uses Canvas in secondary courses to facilitate innovative learning and provide a digital extension of the classroom. Canvas is an online platform designed to integrate a variety of resources, course materials, and interactive tools, so learners can access coursework, engage in learning activities, and communicate with their teachers and classmates. www.allenisd.org/o/aisd/page/canvas
Student Access is a secure, Internet-based website that will allow you to easily keep track of your attendance, grades, schedule, progress, and assignments. Student Access is a free service and will be available to all students in grades 9 - 12.
