Community Service

Waukon FBLA members view community service as a pivotal foundation of our organization. They recognize how supportive our community has been to our organization, and they seek opportunities to give back. Some popular community service activities that they participate in are food drive, random acts of raking, silent auction baskets, and our annual carnival. FBLA members are also given the opportunity to be positive role models for our elementary students through school celebrations and greeting them in the mornings.

As a senior member, Josh Keenan, stated, "Community service is important because it supports everyone in the community and it is a fun way to get involved in your community through FBLA."

Freshmen Representative, Elle Wilkins,  stated, "Community service activities are a great way to get all of the grades together and get the chance to meet new people."

Community Service 2023-24

Students will be expected to complete 20 hours of community service in order to attend the State Leadership Conference in the spring. If students do not complete these community service hours, they will not be allowed to attend the conference. Opportunities to earn community service hours are listed above, along with the total amount of hours each student has earned this year. Events are subject to change based on officer planning. It is recommended that students do not procrastinate on their community service as opportunities are not guaranteed due to schedule changes etc.
