Heather is the CEO & President of Clothed In Strength, a 501 c3 whose mission is to bridge the gap between financial freedom and government assistance for low to moderate income single mothers. She is a native South Carolinian and a graduate of Youngstown State University. Heather is no stranger to the nonprofit world. During her 15-year career in corporate banking, she served on the board of Junior Achievement, Rotary Club of Austintown and a spokesperson for Dream Catchers of Mahoning Valley. She has served with various organizations across the Mahoning Valley and state of Ohio such as Salvation Army, United Way, Rescue Mission, Hope Foundation, Operation Warm, Second Harvest Food Bank & more.
Empowering women is a passion of Heathers. As a former Mrs. Ohio America 2016, her whole mission was helping women across the state realize their worth and help them learn how to step into their own greatness through the gifts God has given them. She was able to continue with this mission as the director of the Mrs. Ohio America circuit from 2017-2022.
Heather launched Clothed In Strength in March of 2023. Her greatest prayer through the mission is for every woman to feel the love of Jesus when they walk through the doors, meet them right where they are and realize what a masterpiece they are. Heather resides in Poland with her husband of 13 years, Steve, has 2 daughters, Taylor & Brooklyn and the sweetest labradoodle, Harley.
Closing Keynote Speaker
Judge for the 7th District Court of Appeals
Judge Carol Ann Robb was elected to the 7th District Court of Appeals in 2014. She brings extensive experience as a trial court judge to the appellate bench. In 2001 she was appointed Magistrate for the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court before being elected Judge of the Columbiana County Municipal Court in 2005.
During her ten years as Municipal Court Judge, Judge Robb earned acclaim statewide and nationally for programs she initiated in the court. One such program was the mental health docket known as STAR, Successful Treatment And Recovery. STAR was the first mental health docket certified by the Ohio Supreme Court and has been used as the template for mental health courts throughout Ohio. Under Judge Robb's leadership, the Columbiana County Municipal Court was the first court in Ohio to address economic issues faced by defendants based upon "Bridges Out of Poverty". The Defendant's Getting Ahead program reduced recidivism for its graduates and helped them gain and maintain employment. It was adopted by fourteen (14) other courts in Ohio and by numerous other courts throughout the country. To promote employment, Judge Robb worked with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles to put safe drivers back on the road. She also extended the use of electronically monitored house arrest to include indigent defendants, saving substantial tax dollars and providing equal justice to all defendants.
Judge Robb and her husband reside in Columbiana County and have three adult daughters.

Certified Trauma Practitioner, Assistant Executive Director of Ozer Ministries, Inc. with 37 years counseling individuals and families who are recovering from trauma especially sexual abuse and domestic violence.
The objective of this session is to detail the basic concepts of how to heal from past hurt and trauma. It will cover healing on the emotional, cognitive, and spiritual level and how it affects your self-esteem and the way you view the world.
Daryl says: "The empowerment retreat is important to me as I have seen countless women who have been abused and beaten down verbally and emotionally which has hindered them achieving their potential. They often feel like a complete failure. I have also seen these very same women having the courage to acknowledge and face their pain and work through it finding hope, healing and the power of change."
Breakout Session: Arise, Go Forward, and Conquer!
Recovery Coordinator for the Columbiana County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board and a Certified Peer Recovery Supporter.
Do long to get break free a cycle of poverty? In this breakout session Maureen will share her personal story of how she went from entitlements to freedom from the system that holds people bound in poverty. Maureen & Ti Aera will motivate and encourage guests to take those steps towards independence from the system, provided Columbiana County resources and handouts.
Maureen says: "The Empowerment Workshop provides a venue for women to share their struggles, learn ways to work through those struggles and move forward to a more satisfying life.
It is a true Blessing to be a part of the Planning Committee and work side by side with some amazing women all who have the common goal of assisting women to thrive in their life."
Breakout Session: Boundary Boss
Director of Peer Support Services at Help Network
Be the boss of your own boundaries. In this interactive session you will learn practical ways to set healthy limits with others while increasing your own self-respect and self- esteem. Both Carrie and Erica will share from their own lived experience with fun and relevant ways to practice setting boundaries in a safe environment.
Erica serves as the Director of Peer Support Services at Help Network. She is certified Peer Supporter with lived experience with mental health and substance use disorder. She leads a team of dynamic and compassionate staff at 2 Peer centers. She is a tireless advocate for those
affected by mental illness and substance use disorders. Prior to working in the recovery field, Erica worked with people with developmental disabilities and worked as a minister in the church of the Nazarene for 12 years. She has been blessed to be married to her husband and best friend Manny for 30 years. Her greatest accomplishment is being a mom to her 3 kids and loves spending time with her 2 granddaughters Evie & Mila.

In this session we will explore Codependency. You may have heard the term codependency in treatment circles, as struggling with addictive behavior and codependency often go hand and hand. If you believe that you may be codependent and desire to learn more about the causes, behaviors, characteristics, and healing from codependency the information presented in this session will be beneficial to you.
Nicole Miller is a substance abuse treatment specialist who has over 20 years of experience in partnering with individuals on their journey to recovery. She has a deep understanding of the destruction that active use has on every aspect of life for those who are struggling with addiction. Nicole’s passion is to empower individuals to break free from the bondage of addiction and regain control over their lives. Her beliefs are rooted in the knowledge that healing is possible, hope is never lost, and recovery is an amazing journey.

Gratitude is about recognizing the good things in your life and the role that others play in those positive events. It can have a powerful role in your health and well -being. Gratitude is a way for people to appreciate what they have in the moment instead of always reaching for something new. This breakout will focus on the domino effect of what gratitude can have in your life when it is practiced.

My Journey
I am a 43 year old recovering addict. I am still in active recovery for alcoholism and drug addiction, as well as in recovery for toxic relationships and codependency. I have 2 beautiful girls that I love with all my heart and a loving boyfriend, who I spend a lot of time with. I enjoy swimming, coloring, and spending time with my 3 cats.
I love going to the Women’s retreat every year and to see all the womenand how they empower each other. All the women are there for each other. It is an amazing retreat.
