Distance Learning Expectations

Attendance: Virtual learning will still be treated as a REGULAR school day. We will be starting the school year virtual and will login (using Google Meet link) promptly at 8:25 am. If students do not show for class, they will be marked absent.

School Day: Our virtual school day will begin at 8:25 am and end at 1:00 pm. When we end our meeting, this would be a great time for students to grab lunch! On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, I will begin meeting with students 1:1 (I will let you know if I will be meeting with you) at 1:53 pm until 2:53 pm. This will also be a time for completing additional assignments & homework. Every Wednesday from 1:53-2:53 pm, students will have "independent work" time.

Work Space: It is important to try and find a quiet place for students to attend their virtual day and to complete work daily. Removing distractions will be very helpful and student should come to our lessons each day ready to learn (notebook & pencil).

Google Classroom: It is important for students to check in to Google Classroom every morning. This is where you they will find our "Google Meet" link, which is where they will login in each morning. If they are not checking Google Classroom daily, they will receive an incomplete for that day. Google Classroom is the main hub of our virtual learning and is where all assignments and updates will be posted. Students should check both Language Arts and Math DAILY.
