My name is Carol Hill. I lived in Taiwan until I was 4 and then my family moved to San Diego, California. After I graduated high school, I attended University of California, Santa Cruz (go mighty banana slugs!). I majored in Psychology and minored in Education. I never really thought about becoming a teacher until I worked in my first classroom for one of my Education classes and I ended up loving it.
I got my teaching credential from San Jose State University. After I graduated, I continued my education at SJSU and received my Masters in Education (my program is called Literacy Across the Curriculum for an Equitable Society, a mouthful, I know!) as well as my reading specialist credential.
I have worked diverse positions with various grades in schools in Watsonville, Santa Cruz, and Scotts Valley. In 2013, I finally found my home at Creekside Elementary. At Creekside, I have taught Kinder, third, and fourth grade.
