Principal Message:

Dear Parents,

Welcome to César E. Chávez Elementary! Although we have been on Remote Instruction Learning since March 19, 2020, we will return to in-person instruction on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. This year promises to be another great year here at Chávez. We will be working hard and in order to ensure your child’s academic success, we need to work together so that our children can continue their learning. Our dedicated teachers are committed to teaching your children and helping them reach proficiency of the challenging but attainable Common Core State Standards. Thus, for us to reach this goal for every student, we ALL need to work very hard and connect online remotely as per our teachers’ schedules. Please make it a goal to have your son/daughter attend class daily. With your support, we will successfully achieve our academic goals. Students are expected to log into their grade level online classroom under their teacher’s name and to check the daily schedule for Google Meet Live lessons and assignments. Attendance will be taken online every day. Students must participate in their online lessons daily. If your child is having technical difficulties, please call our school office or fill out a technology assistance ticket. This will be a challenging year but with your help, we will overcome all obstacles that we face including this pandemic.
