Michael Fricano II

Michael is a Technology Integration Specialist & MakerEd educator at ‘Iolani School in Hawaii and an Education Architect for The Janus Group. He is a Google for Education Certified Trainer & Certified Educator, GEG Hawaii Leader, Amazon Education Teacher Innovator, and an Apple Teacher. He’s been presenting on a variety of EdTech topics for more than 8 years. He has recently been exploring the use of Google Cardboard and Virtual Reality in the Classroom. Becky Shorey is a Google Certified Trainer and has been piloting a 1:1 Chromebook classroom for four years. In her 15 years of teaching, she has taught high school Earth Science, Environmental Science, Unified Science, and Astronomy at Green Mountain High School in Lakewood, CO. She has recently transitioned into the EdTech Coach role and has created and implemented a plan to manage the change and culture of her school while transitioning to a 1:1 school. She developed a training program for the staff and continues to train faculty on the use of Chromebooks and usage of the Google Apps tools available. She works one on one with teachers developing customized lessons integrating technology into their classrooms in creative ways to allow for student choice, creativity and increased critical thinking skills. @MissBeckasaurus


Denis Sheeran is the author of Instant Relevance, Using Today’s Experiences to Teach Tomorrow’s Lessons, as well as a requested speaker nationwide. He is a Google Certified Educator, Chromebook in the Classroom trainer, Smartboard and Smart Notebook trainer.

Denis has a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics Education with a minor in Music, is an adjunct Professor of Statistics at the County College of Morris in Randolph, NJ and is now the Supervisor of Mathematics, K-12, in Chatham, NJ after having taught high school math, from Algebra to Advanced Placement, for 13 years Lake Forest High School, in Lake Forest, IL.

Craig works in a district that just went 1:1 with iPads as the Ready 1:1 Instructional Coach at Garland High School in Garland, Texas. He helps teachers transform the learning in their classrooms by implementing technology effectively. Craig is an Apple Teacher 2016 and Google Certified Educator Level 1 and 2. He may also get his Google Certified Trainer recognition before GC in Paradise!

Sean has been teaching technology to educators and students in Hawaii for the past 17 years. A firm believer in the positive impact technology can have in the classroom, he has lead a variety of workshops on Google integration, digital media and student blogging. As the middle and high school Design teacher at Le Jardin Academy, Sean teaches students about power of design and design thinking. Outside of the classroom, Sean advises the middle school Ultimate Frisbee team. @edtechjedi


Taneesha A. Thomas, MS.ED, a 2016 Chicago Public School ‘Ones to Watch’ winner for technology innovation, is a premiere leader in the CPS district for Ed Tech. Over the past three years, she has presented at over 24 conferences around Illinois, including Illinois Education and Technology Conference (IETC), Illinois Computing Educators (ICE), and Every Students Succeeds Act (ESSA) Conference. In 2014, Taneesha successfully rolled out the largest deployment of Chromebooks ever in the the 3rd largest school district in the US, CPS. Currently she serves as the Digital Learning Coordinator at Bogan High School where they are finishing year three of a 1:1 environment, in an urban school. Taneesha provides job embedded professional development, coaching, student training, and serves on the building’s Instructional Leadership Team. Her newest involvement; a student created, designed, and led Maker Space at Bogan called WeMedia.


Monica meets the diverse needs of teachers, students and learning environments by providing educational services that will enhance performance. Her professional experience includes serving as a Special Education teacher for grades K - 12, Special Education Case Manager, Freshman Academy Coordinator, City-wide Special Population Liaison, Instructional Coach and Framework for Teaching Specialist for Chicago Public Schools.
