ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

The Workshop is aimed at adult music professionals, who are either teachers or performers. This is a great opportunity to gain an introduction to Dalcroze, refresh your knowledge and progress your musicianship training. Each day includes sessions in Rhythmics, Ear Training (Solfège), and Improvisation. In addition, there will be sessions to explore and interpret music through group movement (plastique animé) and pedagogy sessions, which address the application of Dalcroze to a variety of specific contexts. Please come dressed in movement-appropriate clothing, be prepared to move in bare feet, and bring your instrument (if you are a non-pianist).

EARLY BIRD (3 days): RM1105 (closes on Friday 17th October)

INTRODUCTORY DAY (1 day): RM450

FULL RATE (3 days): RM1300

Work-study scholarships are available for students. Scholarships cover part of the workshop fee. Financial aid is for deserving students and assessed on a case-to-case basis. Please email dalcrozemalaysia@gmail.com if you would like to apply.

LOCATION

The Dalcroze Workshop will be held at The Alice Smith School Primary Campus. When arriving to campus, please arrive via Jalan Kerayong guardhouse entrance.
