The BCE (Business, Communications & Entrepreneurship) Academy, which includes the arts, focuses on providing experiences for students who are interested in careers within the arts, audio/video technology & communications, finance, information technology, business, management & administration, hospitality & tourism, marketing, and sales & service industries.

Upcoming Events

2024 Shark Tank Competition

Business CAPS students will compete to win $21,000 in scholarships as they present projects they have worked on in partnership with local businesses/organizations. The focus this year was on how helping to improve recruiting, onboarding, hiring and retention. The projects are composed of a 20-page written paper and a 12-minute presentation with 3-minutes for judges questions. 

This year's event will begin at noon on Sunday, January 14 in the Performing Arts Center at Alexandria Area High School. This event is open to the public.
