Reading at home
Your children bring home books every week, we aim to change them on Mondays and Fridays but please bring the book bags in daily.
Tapestry
Make sure you are accessing Tapestry as it is used to share learning, celebrate achievements, and support home-school communication.
Communication and Language
Joining in with storytelling and retelling familiar stories.
Use Tales Toolkit to make up stories together.
Personal Social and Emotional Development
Naming and understanding our feelings and beginning to learn how to manage them.
Physical Development
Putting on our coats, gloves and hats independently and learning to do our zips up.
Early Phonics
Learning to break words into syllables by playing with rhythm.
Literacy
Learning about the different parts of books through the books we will share this half term.
Maths
We will be exploring the concepts of the numbers 1, 2, 3 with hands on activities and games. We will also be learning about shape and size.
Understanding the World
We will be finding out about different animals and different landscapes through our core story books.
Expressive Art and Design
Begin to draw with more detail. Use a variety of media to create artwork.
