I cannot believe how quickly the school year has passed as we are entering into the month of May. This will be a busy time of year for all of us. Please continue to encourage your child to do their best each day as we work toward the close of the school year and ending on a high note. Due to summer being right around the corner, slacking off and not giving one's best effort is tempting. Students have worked tirelessly to pick up new skills this school year to be prepared for the next grade level, while staff have worked endlessly to prepare instruction for your child to ensure their needs are met. Our iReady End-of-Year growth looks phenomenal. Students and staff are to be commended for their effort with this. The End-of-Year dates are listed in the section below. Student attendance over the final 26 days is crucial as content and skills will be reviewed. The parent survey will be active on Monday, May 8th-19th. A code will come home with your child. The purpose of the code is to gauge the response rate from individual classes. Each class with an 80% response rate will receive a special treat. This information will be used to help Sugar Loaf continue to grow as we move into the next school year, working to meet the needs of your child. Please review the "Important Dates" for important reminders concerning End of Year activities.

Please continue to read to and with your child, as we know research tells us this is one of the best ways to ensure your child's educational success. Check out this link for reading activities to use at home and over the summer.
