Aledo ISD's summer reading initiative Aledo Reads @ Home begins May 23rd!
Aledo Reads At Home will celebrate students who choose to read for fun throughout the summer.
The purpose of Aledo Reads At Home is to help prevent the summer slide by encouraging and motivating students to read self-selected books during the break.
AISD has created grade-level lists of recommended fiction and non-fiction titles for families who would like high-interest reading suggestions (see below).
To help promote summer reading, participating students will be entered into prize drawings held throughout the summer. After finishing a book, students can submit a reading response to be entered (additional details and the form are linked below).
