The Aldo Leopold Nature Center (ALNC) is excited to announce that applications are now open for positions on our Board of Directors. We are looking for individuals who share our passion for connecting children, families, and communities with nature and who are eager to bring their diverse skills and experiences to advance ALNC’s mission.

As a board member, you’ll help guide one of Madison’s leading environmental education and community organizations. Your leadership will directly support ALNC’s efforts to:
Provide equitable, inclusive access to nature for children and families of all backgrounds and abilities.
Inspire the next generation of environmental stewards.
Strengthen partnerships across education, conservation, and community sectors.
Who Are We Looking For?
We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply. We’re seeking to grow the board’s collective skill set in the following areas: finance, marketing and communications, fundraising, education, and human resources. Most importantly, we seek leaders who are:
Passionate about nature, equity, and sustainability.
Collaborative and community-minded.
Ready to dedicate time, energy, and expertise to advance ALNC’s mission.
