Bachelor's degree: Texas A&M University
Masters degree: Sam Houston State University.
I have 10 years of teaching experience as a 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade teacher in Aldine ISD. This is my fourth year as a counselor here at Stephens Elementary.
I spend my free time visiting small coffee shops and raiding local book stores whenever I can. I love organizing, shopping, crafting and hanging out with my family and friends.

Welcome to our counseling Corner!
My name is Maria Muñoz and I am the School Counselor at Stephens Elementary School. I work with students from grades 1-5.
I provide guidance lessons for each class once a month. Guidance lessons will follow the district calendar as well as the Character Strong Curriculum.
I am also available to meet with students individually or in small groups as needed. These responsive services are provided for short term counseling with a max of 6 sessions.
The purpose of this site is to provide parents and other stakeholders with information about our school counseling program as well as to provide resources and support.
