Asociación Mar Violeta
Asociación Mar Violeta is a non-profit organisation working in the field of social inclusion and located in Gijón, a beautiful coastal city in the north of Spain.
Mar Violeta Association is specialised in several fields related to social areas such as: gender equality and policies, active citizenship, inclusion, migration, labour market programmes for vulnerable people and training programmes.
Within this context they organise different activities (workshops, training courses, conferences) and European Projects, mainly in the Erasmus + programme with the aim of fostering the inclusion of vulnerable people including migrants, women and youngsters.
One of their flagship projects was "We are all Equal project" whose aim was to promote tolerance and intercultural comprehension and fight against discrimination towards migrants in Europe.
Mar Violeta also organized a Youth exchange on how art can be used to achieve gender equality and a meeting with our local chapter of the Red Cross to teach them new ways to work on hate speech with youngsters.
