From 2 to 4 February 2024, 15 young people from Catadau attended a 'Local Lab' that took place in the La Marina - Teulada de Moraira hostel. Furthermore, aside from the youth, other participants were: the Counselor for Youth, Marta Estarlich Durá, the ADL of the Catadau City Council María Castillo Palomares and the Project's Political Training Technician, Jordi Magraner Roig.
Activities were carried out on youth policies, on the Sustainable Development Goals (ODS) and political debates, through group dynamics. As a final activity, a Youth Governance Simulation took place where the previous activities were integrated as a whole.
During this local lab, teaching through practical activities was valued rather than relying exclusively on theoretical content. The recommendation after this experience is to establish an environment where learning is promoted through dynamic and participatory experiences, prioritizing the development of practical skills over the mere accumulation of abstract knowledge. This approach not only ensures a deeper level of understanding and retention of knowledge but also promotes the development of transferable skills applicable in professional contexts.
