"Life According to Og the Frog" tells the story of Og, a frog who is suddenly taken from his pond and placed in a classroom as a pet, where he must navigate a new life amongst "big tad" children and his particularly noisy hamster neighbor, Humphrey, while reflecting on his swamp life and trying to understand his new surroundings, often expressing his thoughts through poems and songs.
