Students will use Chromebooks carefully and respectfully to avoid damaging it. If a Chromebook is damaged when a student receives it, or becomes damaged while the student is using it, the student will notify the teacher immediately.
When asked to close the Chromebook for directions or instructions, the student will do so immediately.
Students will return classroom Chromebooks to the cart and plug it in the assigned spot before leaving the classroom.
Students will not use Chromebooks to play games, surf, tweet, text, or use applications other than those designated for a specific educational purpose by the teacher. The teacher reserves the right to determine what is considered an educational source/website.
If students bring their own device, the student will be completely responsible for it. Students will not use personal devices to play games, surf, Tweet, text, or use applications other than those designated for a specific educational purpose by the teacher.
Students will remember that not all people have access to or utilize technology in the same way. Students will treat all peers and classmates respectfully and kindly no matter what their options, access, or experience is with technology.
Students will be responsible online citizens and not do anything that is DISRESPECTFUL to other people or against the law. Students will respect others’ opinions and respond in a respectful and educated manner if they disagree.
All communication between peers and Mr. Lay will be respectful and professional. Students will not post disrespectful comments anywhere, and they understand that if they make a disrespectful comment, their technology privileges will be revoked immediately.
Students understand that using technology in the classroom is a privilege that may be revoked.
