Biography
Hi, I'm Matt White, Alburnett's 6-12 Computer Science teacher.
I'm originally from Worthington, Iowa, growing up on a farm as the youngest of five kids. In July of 2019, I married my wife, Bailey Wright. I received my undergraduate and graduate degrees from University of Northern Iowa. At Alburnett, I've been fortunate enough to work with students spanning grades 6-12. Subjects I've taught include:
Various courses with 6-12 Social Studies
CS Principles
Physical Computing
Cybersecurity
Web Design
Intro to Computer Science
Fundamentals of Programming
Machine Learning & AI
IT Fundamentals
I'm passionate about creating a safe space for all students to be themselves learn together. Real learning occurs when a moment has sticking power, something that can connect with a student on a deeper, more tangible level. Within Computer Science, this is my ongoing, perpetual goal.
