9th-12th Grade Choir

The Alburnett High School Choir offers students unique learning and performing opportunities with the goal that through music, students will learn to become noble people. With high expectations, we work with each student - no matter their musical experience - and focus on musical excellence through development of skills and knowledge that lead to music literacy. Students participate in class time rehearsals each day and in small group voice lessons once each week.

Over the course of a year every student participates in daily class rehearsals, regular concerts, and the IHSMA Large Group Festival. Through choir, students will have additional opportunities for extra-curricular music activities such as participation in the Alburnett Chamber Choir and IHSMA Solo/Small Ensemble Festival, the musical, and our school variety show. They can also learn many of the behind-the-scenes work of putting on a show by being part of the stage crew and tech crew.
