MEET THE OFFICERS!

PRESIDENT - RIGGS MARTIN

Riggs Martin is a Senior at Alburnett High School. He is involved in FFA, the Alburnett Diamond Club, and is a Fabrication Apprentice. He shows Pigs, Cattle, rabbits, and Photography at the state and county level. He is also on the Linn County Swine Committee. His favorite memory from FFA was the 2022 Iowa State FFA Convention because of the great group of people and fun competition.

VICE PRESIDENT - LEXI LOUGH

Lexi Lough is a senior at Alburnett High School. She is involved in FFA, Alburnett youth fastpitch softball, girls' wrestling management, SIAC committee, and student council. She received her Certified Nursing Assistant certification through Kirkwood Community College in 2023. She shows photography at the Iowa State Fair! Her favorite memory from FFA is the 2022 National  Convention because of the great group that went and many fun experiences. 

SECRETARY - MELANI ELLIS 

 Melani Ellis is a sophomore at Alburnett High School.  She enjoys being apart of FFA, and her favorite memory is 2023 AG In the Park. Along with FFA, she is involved in Volleyball, Softball, Basketball, Track and field, Youth group, and Yearbook. 

REPORTER - BRYCE BORRETT 

Bryce Borrett is a sophomore at Alburnett High School. Bryce is the reporter for Alburnett FFA. He enjoys hunting, fishing and playing sports such as football, basketball,track and baseball. His favorite memory of FFA is showing Darla his goat at the linn county fair.

TREASURER - LEXI GEISTKEMPER

Lexi Geistkemper is a sophomore at Alburnett High School. She enjoys being the treasurer of Alburnett FFA as well as trail riding, horse showing, archery, and youth group. Her favorite memory is 2023 Ag in The Park  with Melani.

SENTINEL - REECE BURNS 

Reece Burns is in his Senior year of high school at Alburnett CSD. He is involved in FFA  and Archery. His favorite memory of FFA was Ag in The Park where Reggie's dad did a burnout with their race car. Reece loves hanging out with friends and hopes to make lifelong memories in the Alburnett FFA Chapter.

AT LARGE MEMBER - NATHAN HAYES 

Nate Hayes is in his sophomore year of high school at Alburnett CSD, he enjoys being involved, seeing everyone, and meeting new people. Nate enjoys activities outside of school like outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, working outside, and more. Nate runs a business outside of school as well as working on a farm. 

ADVISOR - KAYLA HOSPODARSKY 

Kayla Hospodarsky is in her first year teaching Ag Education at Alburnett. She graduated from Alburnett High School in 2018. She then went on to college at Iowa State University and graduated in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in Animal Science with a minor in Meat Science. She then spent a year in graduate school at Iowa State University  with a major in Meat Science. Kayla enjoys helping out her family with show cattle, pigs, and goats. Her favorite memory is being a part of the 2020-2021 Iowa State Intercollegiate Meats Judging Team and getting to travel across the country competing. She hopes to bring her passion for the livestock and meats industry to the students at Alburnett.
