The Accelerated VCE is designed for students in Year 10 who have been enrolled as a SEAL student or who are performing at a high level across all their subjects and are looking for greater challenge and rigour in their Year 10 studies. This program enables students to study multiple Unit 1 & 2 subjects and also provides the option for students to access a Unit 3 & 4 study at Year 10.
Students will enrol in a University subject in Year 12 that will contribute to their ATAR and VCE.
Students who pursue an accelerated VCE will finish the VCE with more than 7 Year 12 subjects maximising their pathways to university and ATAR.

Study 6 Subjects.
Enrol in multiple VCE subjects at Unit 1&2 level.
May access a Unit 3&4 subject at Year 10.
Students must study both an English and Maths subject
Students who will study Science in Year 11 and 12, should continue their studies in Science.
Students will receive course counselling and advice regarding subject selection for their Unit 1&2 or Unit 3&4 study. Students will map their potential Year 10-12 program in this pathway.
Students may be required to complete an entry assessment for acceleration in the following subjects:-
VCE Chemistry
VCE Physics
VCE Mathematical Methods
VCE Specialist Maths
Continued enrolment in an accelerated pathway is dependent on academic results and work ethic.

By commencing in the Accelerated VCE in Year 10, students have the opportunity to:
Continue the SEAL acceleration program into their senior years
Provide opportunities for challenge, rigour and early exposure to senior curriculum demands.
Gain familiarity with VCE exams, assessments (SACs), and study techniques ahead of Year 12, boosting performance.
Allows more Unit 3/4 sequences overall, potentially raising ATAR.
Complete a university subject in Year 12, if suitable, continuing the acceleration pathway into tertiary pathway.
