Based in Yorkshire, Alben have the networks and experience to oversee and manage any size project nationwide. This is demonstrated by the list of successfully completed projects since 2012.
Alan Pilkington and Ben Duffield created Alben Electrical and Mechanical Services in the Spring of 2012, the projects in which they have been involved and the standard of work provided since the company was formed has been phenomenal. Alben has many years of experience and expert knowledge of the founders. The contracts they have successfully completed is evidence of the reputation they have built and the respect they have earned from their existing and new clients.

Alan Pilkington - Director
Alan has 35 years’ experience working within the electrical industry throughout the UK. He began his electrical apprenticeship with a small family-owned business in Warwickshire, where he worked for 10 years before moving to Yorkshire. In Yorkshire, Alan joined a reputable family owned electrical contractor based in Wakefield. His hard work, experience and results were recognised and Alan quickly rose to become the company Operations & Technical Director.
Alan has experience and qualifications at all levels and aspects of electrical contract management. Many years of site management provides Alan with a practical understanding of the work involved in any project. Alan's years of training and experience in delivering a high standard of technical design services place him in an excellent position to be able to provide a package of services that range from build design through to completion.
Ben Duffield - Director
When the opportunity arose to nurture a new business venture, Ben applied the same enthusiasm and dedication that has bolstered his career. Ben’s drive and energy resulted in a highly successful business partnership.
Ben gained his electrical certifications through an apprenticeship and is constantly adding training certification and valuable experience to his CV. With over 16 years of practical knowledge, Ben has experience in tendering, estimating, and designing projects of varying scale. His first major solo project was for a large MOD security site in Scotland. Ben's project management skills allowed him to look after this while remotely managing several other local projects in Yorkshire.
Julie Pilkington – Office Manager
Having a wealth of business qualifications and experience ranging from quality assurance, business intelligence through to accounting. Julie’s 28 year career has given her a vast knowledge of various business models consisting of private sector businesses, NHS emergency care and local government.
Julie has been the ideal candidate having brought her expertise on board to support Alben as they began to flourish further during their mechanical division expansion.
Andrew McCartney – Contracts Manager
With over 35 years experience, Andrew manages projects and ensures that top productivity is achieved. Monitoring sites throughout the UK, he allows Alben to install to the highest standards. Working alongside both management and engineers allows for unblemished communication to guarantee first class service to clients.
