This portrait portrays Mr. Martin and his soul. It is my interpretation of his soul that i got from an interview that I did with him where he expressed that he pictured his soul being hard at the center and getting softer as it goes out. He also said he thought it was near his heart and that a cherry blossom tree represented it.

I created this piece as an artistic interpretation of my Spanish teacher's soul. I painted this jellyfish after a discussion/ interview I had with her. It is a jellyfish in space because she believes that souls are separate from the body and the brain and that they aren't tangible. She said that jellyfish came to mind when she thought of her soul which fits because they don't have brains and are very colorful. I also added the second jellyfish to represent the piece of her husband's soul that is hers since she believes in soulmates.

This sculpture was inspired by the interview I did with my Teacher Mr. Martin. He said that cherry blossoms represented his soul and that his soul was hard in the center, like a rock, and got softer as it went out. I tried to represent this as best as I could in this piece.
This is about social anxiety and how it is largely an irrational fear. You put these eyes on you that aren't actually looking at you. This makes your self image distorted the more eyes you add.

This piece is a metaphor for how you can never fully separate yourself from the influence of others. This is shown through how you cannot fully separate nature from the impact of humans.

This is about how it feels to finally relax in my bed after a long day of masking and pretending. I feel as if I become one with my surroundings and we become something greater and more true. This greater thing feels like me.

This sculpture represents how I feel that I am made up of multiple parts working together and that there is a separation of these parts: the body, brain, and soul. It was partially inspired by something I said to my mother when I was young.
