Focusing on the multiple roles of family members, wage earners, and community leaders, members develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.

FCCLA is a dynamic and effective nationwide student organization that helps young men and women become leaders and address important person, family, work and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education. FCCLA is the only in-school Career and Technology Student (CTE) organization focused on careers that support families.
