Why did you choose to be BGS president?

I jumped at the chance to serve as our chapter's BGS President because it is a fantastic organization. Every spring I get to lead the ceremony to induct our new members, and I believe strongly in the principles and values required by BGS membership. It is an honor to welcome new members in to our school's honors society, an exclusive organization which offers membership to just the top students in their class.

What does being a BGS member mean to you?

Membership in BGS means that every day you respect and honor the values that BGS embodies. I bring integrity and earnestness to every interaction with colleagues and others. It provides me with a clear mind and conscience. I believe in leading my example,and BGS sets an ideal for behavior, not just in business, but also everyday life. At times, following the principles can be difficult. However, in the long run you will avoid situations where you might be tempted to compromise, and it gives you the strength to make the right decision when you find yourself in ethical dilemmas.

What advice do you have for new inductees?

My advice to new inductees is carefully consider the BGS oath. Following each of the honor society precepts will make you a better person and leader.
