Regular Option

I have:

1. Read the articles and handouts

2. Watched the videos

3. Created a Powerpoint presentation to use at back-to-school night or an open house that introduces yourself to families in an authentic and welcoming manner and submitted it through Canvas

4. Formulated a Family Engagement Philosophy and Outreach Plan and submitted it to Canvas. 

5. Debriefed with a colleague and shared my Family Engagement and Outreach Plan

Advanced Family Engagement Option

I have:

1. Reflected on and examined my previous family engagement experiences and strategies to search for the successes and gaps in creating successful partnerships with families.  This is a one-two page paper describing the highs and lows and the actions I intend to improve my family engagement practices.

2. Read the articles and handouts.

3. Watched the videos.

4. Reviewed my  Family Engagement Philosophy and Outreach Plan to identify the areas that need more intention and improvement.

5. Selected at least 4 strategies presented in the module to implement and assess for their effectiveness and if effective, add to my Family Engagement Philosophy and Outreach Plan.  This will be an evolving document that I update and modify each year.

6. Debriefed with a colleague and shared the key lessons I've learned from the exercises and reflections I completed for this Advanced Option.  I will also share my updated Family Engagement and Outreach Plan .
