March of 2019 marked the 50th anniversary of the first rocket launch from Poker Flat Research Range.

An evening celebration was held at the range, with over 1000 people in attendance. Guided tours of the range covered the lower range launch pads, control room, and rocket assembly, and administrative buildings, as well as the upper range science and telemetry facilities.
