"Your imagination is your preview of life's coming attractions." - Albert Einstein

As we bring NDLW 2018 to a close, I want to thank you for time and participation this week. I sincerely hope that you have learned something new or interesting this week from these materials. On this Friday, I will leave you with some fun and interesting pieces for your perusal - there's another chance to win, fun videos, games, and thoughts on what we may see in the future.

Sincerely,

Looking to the future of eLearning

Where does the world see eLearning in 5 years? 10 years? What are some changes we could see coming in the realm of online education? Let's see what people are saying....

  • VR (Virtual Reality) - With VR, students in a history class can be thrown into the middle of any era, region. conflict, etc. to further engage in the content they're learning about.
  • Increase in Programs and Courses offered online - We've already seen growth in this area at UAA and it's a similar trend elsewhere. Expect to see more options for earning a college degree online as we move forward.
  • Project based coursework - Look for courses that utilize projects and collaboration more often. Classes held strictly by lecture and 2 exams are falling away to give more room for individual application of learning objectives.

Where do you see online education in the future?
